Vadodara
(formerly known as Baroda)
The city Is the third largest city in the Western Indian State of Gujarat, after Ahmedabad and Surat, and the 18th largest in our Country. It is the administrative headquarters of Vadodara District and is located on the banks of the Vishwamitri river, southeast of Ahmedabad, 139 KM from the state capital Gandhinagar.
The city has an area of 235 sqkm and a population of 2.1 million according to the 2010–11 census.The city is known for the Lakshmi Vilas Palace (seen in the back drop of this page), the residence of Baroda State's Maratha royal family, the Gaekwads. It is also the home of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Vadodara), the largest university in Gujarat. An important industrial, cultural and educational hub of western India, the city houses several institutions of national and regional importance while its major industries include petrochemicals, engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, IT and foreign exchange services amongst others.

GOODS & SERVICE TAX, CENTRAL EXCISE AND CUSTOMS

The Goods & Service Tax levied on Goods and Service provided in the India along with Duties of Customs accounts for __% of Revenue to the Government of India. The erstwhile Duties of Central Excise and Service Tax has been reduced to a few products like some petroleum and tobacco products.
The GST Commissionerate, Vadodara-II, under the Vadodara Zone of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, is having a physical jurisdiction covering districts of Panchmahal, Dahod, Chotta Udaipur, Savli-Desar Taluka of Vadodara District, Bharuch, Narmada Districts of Gujarat State.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
We are following the call of the Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi. A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019,” said Shri Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission at Rajpath in New Delhi. On 2nd October 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’ by 2nd October 2019.
Efforts are on on a war basis, disposal of E-waste, cleaning and beautification of the office, making the office friendly for the differently abled. Swachh office SOP is being implemented, in its true spirit
